Ohio Skylines tours the first state formed out of the Northwest Territory. Each movement visits a different city and its highlights. Dayton, the birthplace of the Wright Brothers, is depicted in "Taking Flight," a lyrical piece with a soaring melody over an ostinato bass. Visit Cincinnati, the Queen City of the West, in "Boom Town." This toe-tapping piece features a western flair with a lively rhythm and feel. "Rockin' at the Hall" in the city of Cleveland brings the suite to a fast and rhythmic finish as it celebrates the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. (UK Exam Grades 4-5).
